Last Day- FRIDAY!

I cannot believe this week is over already. Wow. We had another fantastic day! We had a class called Boys 101 where the girls actually learned how boys think and how we're different. Many of them loved it. We also learned about poise, posture, and etiquette. We also had Hank Smith speak to us. He is a comedic/youth speaker. He had us rolling on the floor laughing. One of our girls had to leave Tuesday morning for health reasons, but was able to return to us yesterday evening. She missed Prom so all of these gorgeous sweet girls decided to do her hair/makeup. Everyone wore their Prom dresses so she could have her beautiful moment to shine and not feel strange/alone. What sweet girls! They really care about each other. I was so impressed. We ate chicken cordon bleu for dinner and learned about the proper way to set tables and eat like real ladies. We had a final slideshow during our closing ceremony and had a special activity where we honored a young BBY sister who had passed away last year. The BBJ Family Foundation began a scholarship in her name. We sang, went outside, then released about 250 purple balloons in her memory. It was a very spiritual experience for all of us. We came back to our rooms and partied to some Beyond 5 as we reminisced about the wonderful week. I am going to miss these girls. I love them so much. What an amazing experience for us to share.

Spiritual Thursday

After our devotional this morning, we had classes on nutrition and exercise. Our girls loved that! After sack lunches we headed over to a care center in Orem and were privileged to work in the dementia ward. These girls were so sweet and loving. We entertained them with nail painting, games, and music at the piano. We even crowned a King for the day! Kenneth Cope gave a musical fireside, then we had a special testimony meeting. I am amazed by the faith of these girls. Yes we all have problems and struggles, but your daughters are trying so hard and really trying to learn who they are and what they are worth. I love seeing the progress. What an amazing day! Heavenly Father is definitely here taking care of us!

Wednesday Fun!

Today went by so fast! We were bussed over to UVU where we ate lunch, did service, took a campus tour, and learned to ballroom dance! It was tons of fun! We also learned the importance and fun involved with furthering our education and going to a college or university. After that we prepared for Prom. Your girls are such beautiful Daughters of God. They looked GORGEOUS tonight. Their Spirits are strong and it adds a glow and happiness. That was great, and we got to take lots of cute pictures in the gardens here. Our devotional this evening was focused on loving ourselves and being beautiful for Heavenly Father. What a strong meeting. I love to sing and shared the song, Beautiful to Him with them. Heavenly Father knows your girls. He told me to sing it, and it really affected some of these gals. Thank you for sending them to be here with me. I love each of them so, so much. Here are a few pictures from today:

Tuesday- Service!

So many wonderful, spiritual experiences today. We took ladies with special needs to Thanksgiving Point's Museum of Natural Curiosity. What an amazing activity. My girls were so loving and really made the special needs girls feel special. We also finished tying blankets and gave them to Primary Children's Hospital. Many girls were emotional for that. We heard about Big Oak Ranch- a Christian home for children needing a chance. Amazing organization. We're learning so much together and we're excited to keep going!

Monday Festivities

Wow, what a day! I love these girls so much already! We did a lot of service today. We tied blankets for Primary Children's Hospital, and read to/played games with children from the Boys and Girls Club. What a precious experience. The girls learned a lot from these kids, and my testimony was strengthened from their interactions. Later tonight we had a concert from Beyond 5. The girls LOVED it and went crazy over it! Our devotional this evening went well- the Spirit was definitely there. I really feel like I'm starting to connect with your girls and can't wait to get to know them more!
